Error description

  • When setting the auto commit value of an XA-capable
connection within a global transaction and using the Oracle
JDBC driver, after the transaction ends, getAutoCommit
returns the value that you set during the transaction, but
the Oracle JDBC driver behaves with the auto commit value
that was set prior to starting the global transaction.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When setting the auto commit value of an XA-capable connection
within a global transaction and using the Oracle JDBC driver,
after the transaction ends, getAutoCommit returns the value that
you set during the transaction, but the Oracle JDBC driver
behaves with the auto commit value that was set prior to
    starting the global transaction.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been updated to check if the Oracle JDBC driver has
altered the auto commit value upon global transaction end, and
if so, updates the value cached by the application server to
match the value that the Oracle JDBC driver is using, such that
when you invoke Connection.getAutoCommit, the value returned is
now consistent with the documented behavior of the Oracle JDBC
    driver.
