PI76003: ABEND0C4 IN DECENA00 CALLED BY DECENADV WHEN NOT EXECUTING IN THE DBM1 ADDRESS SPACE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABEND0C4 may occur when DECENA00, DECENBI0, DECENB00, or
  DECENC00 is
  called by DECENADV and the code is not running in the DBM1
  address
  space.  On its first invocation DECENADV creates a cell pool
  containing 20 elements using subpool 229.  If on a later
  invocation of
  DECENADV the cell pool is exhausted, because there are more
  than 20
  concurrent calls to DECENADV in process, a storage obtain will
  be
  performed using subpool 1.  If the current primary address
  space is
  DBM1 the storage will be obtained with storage key 7 as
  expected.  If
  the current primary address space is NOT DBM1, as may be the
  case with
  an OEM utility, the storage may be obtained with a storage key
  other
  than 7 which results in an ABEND0C4 when the storage is
  referenced.
  

Local fix

• If possible, limit concurrent parallelism of the processing to
  below 20.
