Error description
IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz Client - v14.0.0.3 Description : According to the documentation, a standalone IDz installation should work with the same floating license as the upgraded from RDz 9.5. Indeed, it appears that upgrading RDz to IDz will still correctly use the floating license keys. However, with a fresh install of IDz, it does not work. In addition, when a developer uninstalls RDz before installing IDz, he also has the same problem.
Local fix
The problem does not occur when upgrading to IDz from RDz.
Problem summary
When customers installed IDz v14 and enabled floating licenses, the product was not recognizing the floating licenses installed in the License Key Server and received an error message that the license was not found.
Problem conclusion
The floating license configuration was updated for IDz v14. This problem has been resolved and the fix is available at https://developer.ibm.com/mainframe/products/downloads/
