    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a destination needed to be stopped to be unloaded by QCF,
    QCF was sending incorrect /STO commands. With the fix the
    following commands will be issued:

    LTERM = STOP LTERM ltermname
    APPC = STOP LUNAME luname
    OTMA = STOP TMEMBER tmember TPIPE tpipe
    TRAN = STOP TRAN tranname

    Also, the TOSI timer with QCF-s request to STOP a destination is
    set to be 3 seconds. If no response from TOSI is returned, QCF
    will issue message IQC3312E which states that the STOP command
    failed (no destination is stopped). Additionally, TOSI calls to
    stop a destination has been updated and reorganized to be issued
    in the correct sequence.

    IQC3318I is issued if a STOP cannot be issued against a
    destination i.e. destination is not an LTERM, APPC, OTMA, or
    TRAN destination.

Problem conclusion

  • Install the APAR to have QCF build the correct /STO commands to
    stop destinations when they need to be unloaded.
