PI75535: STAT SSI ERR 0008-0008 WHEN ISSUING THE ST ACTION FROM THE JG (JOB GROUP) PANEL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When issuing the ST action from the JG (Job Group) panel, the
  message STAT SSI ERR 0008-0008 can appear in some cases if ST is
  setup to sort on a delayed field (such as RD-DAte) and there are
  jobs that are on the resulting ST display that do not have a
  JOBID because the hob has not yet been created.

  *                      the job  group have not  been submitted *
  *                      and delayed columns are requested.      *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
      Jobs in  a job group  that have  not been submitted  are not
  assigned  a  jobid  until  the job  enters  the  system.    When
  accessing the ST  panel from JG, all  jobs in the job  group are
  listed regardless of whether they have been submitted or not.
  
      If a delayed column is visible  or required due to filtering
  or sorting, SDSF  invokes the extended status SSI  to obtain the
  data.  However, for jobs with no jobid, this call will fail with
  message STAT SSI ERR 0008-0008.
  

Problem conclusion

• ISFDFGT has been changed to verify  a jobid is present prior
  to calling the extended status SSI.
