  *                      be processed by the Exception           *
  *                      Processing User Exit driver module      *
  *                      DGOMEPXT, the module sporadically       *
  *                      abends in CSECT DGOMUPXT with system    *
  *                      completion code S0C4.                   *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

  Event Exception Processing stores the most recent authorization
  failure events with the corresponding IFCID data in memory. The
  oldest entries will be replaced with data of new events. If the
  Exception Processing User Exit is enabled, references to the
  stored entries are provided to the Exception Processing User
  Exit. Depending on the dispatching of the Event Exception task
  and Exception Processing User Exit driver task and the amount
  of events, an authorization failure event entry might already
  have been overwritten or released by the time it is accessed
  by the Exception Processing User Exit module. Access to the
  outdated data results in Abend S0C4.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been corrected to provide a copy of event data to
  the Exception Processing User Exit driver module. The copy is
  released after the Exception Processing User Exit has completed
  the processing of the event. In case of bursts of excessive
  authorization failure events only the first event of a burst in
  the sample interval is submitted to the Exception User Exit.
