  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running in continuous mode, the EXTFILE is backed up in
    case a restart is needed. Typically the current method used
    is satisfactory, but if the EXTFILE is extremely large
    (e.g., tens of thousands of cylinders), this backup process
    can take more time than is necessary. The product has been
    enhanced to incorporate faster methods, such as Flashcopy,
    to make the backups. If it is determined internally that
    such methods cannot be used, standard copying will ensue.
    No user intervention is required.
