Error description
Changing both the z/OS host and Connection name may cause workspace corruption. The workspace corruption is that the connection between CARMA and z/OS Projects may get lost, as well as with property groups, file system mappings, and possibly more.
Local fix
Prior to renaming the connection disconnect from the server.
Problem summary
When a user renames a connection that is associated with property groups, subprojects and file system mappings, the workspace becomes corrupt. Additionally, when a hostname for a connection is changed, an exception can occur due to missing checking.
Problem conclusion
The corruption occurs because a key construct (the IOSImage) associated with the connection name is not updated when the connection name changes. When that happens, this construct (which is needed by subprojects, property groups and mappings) can no longer be found.
Temporary fix
