APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using a stash file, when an ODF distribution is started and
ARSRPSUB ends it has the following warning message:

"ARS1609W Specifying passwords on the command line is in-secure
due to the text eing visible."

This warning message is only displayed in the ARSRPSU.

Local fix

  • Ignore.  Message should not be displayed.

*                      message when an invalid instance name   *
*                      is specified on the ARSODF command and  *
*                      unified login is used.                  *

ODF is incorrectly calling the stash file check.

Problem conclusion

  • ODF is enhanced to not call the stash file check during the job
start processing nor when unified logon is used.
