Dependencies on optional configuration elements under
dataSource and connectionFactory are not always enforced,
causing the connection manager or authentication data
configuration to sometimes be ignored.

Dependencies on optional configuration elements under dataSource
and connectionFactory are not always enforced, causing the
connection manager or authentication data configuration to
sometimes be ignored.

Problem conclusion

Fixed code to enforce dependency on connection manager and other
optional configuration elements such as authentication data.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 17.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
delivery information:

Temporary fix

The problem is intermittent, so restarting the server or
removing & re-adding the datasource might cause the connection
manager settings to be picked up.
