  • Using GEN to generate very long DDL of a view may
fail with:  Error in COMMON_TABLE_EXPRESSION:New value for
sql_stmt_prep is too large in procedure.

When using the DDL or GEN line command against a VIEW, DB2
Admin Tool fails with an error:

Error in COMMON_TABLE_EXPRESSION: New value for sql_stmt_prep is
 too large in procedure
ADB1847E A parser error has occurred for the following view.
GEN cannot complete the request
            Reason code = 8
