Error description

  • An ADB2GEN batch job to generate DDL for a view created on an
old release of DB2 may result in error ADB1847E A parser error
has occurred for the following view. GEN cannot complete the
request.

Local fix

  • Drop and recreate the view.

Performing the GEN command on a VIEW that has migrated from
DB2 for z/OS version 8 fails with the following error message
ADB1847E / msgadb1874e:

ADB1847E A parser error has occurred for the following
view. GEN cannot complete the request.
