Error description

  • 1) Update for DSNI070I message:
    DSNI070I -dsna FTB status: x MB, current y, candidate c
    The frequency of the message will be reduced to be displayed
    only when the current numbers of FTBs are changed.
    2) Add new serviceability fields in IFCID 2 DM section to
    indicate the status of FTBs for the member:
    Additional keyword : DB2FTB/K

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Provide the following serviceability and monitoring *
    * enhancements in index in-memory optimization.                *
    * 1) Add new serviceability fields in IFCID 2 DM section to *
    * indicate the status of index Fast Travesre Blocks (FTB) for *
    * the member:                                                  *
    * FTB threshold, number of FTB candidates, size of *
    * FTBs, number of FTBs currently allocated, numbers of *
    * FTBs allocated in the previous duration, number of objects *
    * that meet the criteria *
    * 2) DSNI070I message will be updated to reduce the *
    * frequency. Currently the message is displayed if any of the *
    * values are changed. This will be reduced to be displayed *
    * only when the current numbers of FTBs are changed or this is *
    * the the first update. *
    * New message:                                                 *
    *       DSNI070I subsystem-id FAST INDEX TRAVERSAL STATUS:     *
    * storage-size MB, USED BY: objects-count OBJECTS,  CANDIDATE  *
    * OBJECTS: candidates-count                                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    1) Added new serviceability fields in IFCID 2 DM section to
    indicate the status of FTBs for the member:

      QISTTRAVMIN - FTB threshold: minimum number of index
    traversals
      QISTFTBCANT - Total number of indexes which meet FTB
    criteria
      QISTFTBCAN - Total number of indexes which meet FTB
    criteria and the traverse count is above the threshold
      QISTFTBSIZE - Total memory allocation for all FTBs for
    this member (in MB)
      QISTFTBNUMP - Number of indexes for which FTB existed in the
    previous run of  in-memory optimization
      QISTFTBNUMC - Number of indexes for which FTB exists in the
    current run of  in-memory optimization

    2) Update for DSNI070I message to the following:
    DSNI070I subsystem-id FAST INDEX TRAVERSAL STATUS: storage-size
    MB, USED BY: objects-count OBJECTS, CANDIDATE OBJECTS:
    candidates-count

    Prior to this change
    DSNI070I  -DB2A FTB x MB FTBN y,z C c
    Where:
    x - number of MB allocated to all FTBs
    y - number of objects currently using FTBs within the system
    z - number of objects that may have an FTB created
    c - number of objects that could potentially have an FTB
    Also the frequency of the message is reduced to be displayed
    only when the current number of FTBs is changed or this is the
    first update.

    Sample message:
    00- 19.37.11 STC00072  DSNI070I  -DB2A FAST INDEX TRAVERSAL
    STATUS: 2 MB,
      - USED BY: 1 OBJECTS, CANDIDATE OBJECTS: 1
