APAR status

Error description

• In conditions when a TCP/IP bind() request can fail with a
  retriable error (e.g. socket not immediately available in a
  DVIPA configuration that is failing over), after the first
  bind() failure (e.g. EADDRNOTAVAIL (49)), subsequent attempts to
  bind() the socket will receive EBADF (113), indicating an
  improperly prepared bind() operand.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During communications initialization,   *
  *                      if binding of the listening port fails, *
  *                      it is reattempted, but the bind request *
  *                      parameters are not rebuilt properly.    *
  *                      This causes errno EBADF (113) to be     *
  *                      returned.  This recurs over the 99      *
  *                      reattempts before the address space     *
  *                      ends.                                   *

  Reattempts to bind the listening port after the first attempt
  fails all end with errno EBADF (113).
  

Problem conclusion

• The parameters wil be built correctly when reissuing a bind()
