PI71947: E3270UI NO RESPONSE TO UNAUTHORIZED CANCEL THREAD ACTION

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• customer attempting to cancel a thread within DB2
  but the customer does not have the authority to do so
  results in "No Data Returned" displayed on KDPTCAN2
  of the E3270UI
  

Local fix

• cancel the thread from the Classic interface

  When a user is monitoring DB2 threads from theExtended 3270 User
  Interface and requests to cancel a displayed DB2 thread but the
  user is not authorized to perform a cancel thread action, the
  cancel thread command fails without appropriately notifying the
  User in the command results panel of the Extended 3270 User
  Interface.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been corrected accordingly to display the return
  and reason code obtained from RACF.
