PI71829: DB2 OBJECT COMPARE INCONSISTENCIES OF THE COMPARISON SUMMARY REPORT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a change causes a column to be dropped, the following the
  list of inconsistencies are detected:
  
  1) the PBG table space is flag as No Change but it's drop and
     recreated.
  2) the indexes are flagged as Drop/created but those are not
     modified. (Inconsistent with the behavior of table space.)
  3) View is flagged as No Change (DDL does not change) but it's
     drop and recreated.

  The Comparison Summary Report showed the result of
  an object which was dropped and recreated as 'No Change'
  when it should be 'Drop/Create' as stated by the Object
  Comparison Report.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is solved for Tablespaces and Views with
  dependencies.
