  • Change Team finds a storage leak in CHIN storage occurs when
gsk_secure_socket_init fails with GSK_ERR_NO_CIPHERS (402)
which leads to CSQX635E being generated.

* Storage leak may occur when an SSL/TLS channel fails to      *
* start. May eventually lead to chinit abending S878 RC10.     *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When an SSL/TLS channel fails to complete its connection, a
small amount of associated storage containing distinguished
names for certificates may not be released. When these failures
are frequently occurring (e.g. due to channel retry), then
eventually the storage leak may lead to an S878 RC10 abend in
the channel initiator address space.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Processing has been amended to ensure that associated storage is
released when an SSL/TLS channel fails to connect.
