Error description

  • While doing rollout update it is completing successfully but in
    console when click on update see blank page.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
    *                  Server                                      *
    *                  that use the "Rollout update" action after  *
    *                  installing an application.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During a rollout update, the page that  *
    *                      shows the status updates is blank until *
    *                      it completes and prints all of them at  *
    *                      the end.                                *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The roll out update status messages are not displaying until
    the whole process is complete, therefore causing the 'blank
    screen' to show up while the action is complete. This only
    happens in Internet Explorer. The fix makes sure the status
    messages are printed out as each action happens.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The status messages for a rollout update are now printed as
    each action occurs to show progress of the process. There is
    no longer a blank screen while the process completes.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.13, 8.5.5.12, 9.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
