APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM HTTP Server 9.0, additional steps were needed beyond
  "LogLevel debug" + "SSLTrace" to enable basic mod_ibm_ssl
  tracing due to new Apache 2.4 trace levels being used.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  Due to trace level changes in the Apache 2.4 code on which IHS
  9.0 is based, mod_ibm_ssl trace was not always enabled when
  expected.
  

Problem conclusion

• If "SSLTrace" is specified without at least "LogLevel
  ibm_ssl:trace1", automatically enable ibm_ssl:trace8.
  Conversely, if ibm_ssl:trace1 or higher is set, automatically
  enable "SSLTrace".
  
  This fix is targeted for IBM HTTP Server fix pack:
  - 9.0.0.3
