Error description
Rational Developer for System z (RDz): RDZ client 9.5.1 wrongly allows to try to save a copy member with an other name in a z/OS project or sub-project. Steps to reproduce: 1 - Select a copy member in a program opened in the editor. 2 - Open the copy member by right-click and select View Copy Member from the menu. 3 - Modify the copy member then save it with an other name. 4 - Select a project or a sub-project then press "OK" 5 - The new member is not created in the sub-project
Local fix
Save the copy member in a PDS.
Problem summary
When doing a save-as, users are incorrectly allowed to select an MVS subproject as the destination for a member. The OK button in the save-as dialog is enabled in this case when it should not be.
Problem conclusion
The OK button in the save-as dialog should not be enabled when an MVS subproject is selected. The valid destination is a PDS (which is under a subproject).
Temporary fix
Rather than saving to the subproject, a user can instead select the appropriate destination dataset within the subproject.
