Error description
Fast Path Advanced Tool will support IMS Catalog API. By this enhancement, all FPA functions will not need to specify an IMSACB DD statement if the IMS management of ACBs function is enabled.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of HPFPU Fast Path Advanced Tool * * (FPA) and FP Stand-alone Database Sensor in * * Fast Path Solution Pack Version 1 Release 3 * * (FMID: HAHQ130). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: All FPA functions and FP Stand-alone * * Database Sensor support IMS management * * of ACBs. By this enhancement, they can * * retrieve ACB information from the IMS * * directory instead of the ACB library. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** FPA and FP Stand-alone Database Sensor adds a new keyword IMSCATHLQ to the GLOBAL command. This keyword specifies the high level qualifier of the bootstrap data set of the IMS directory. When this keyword is specified, the tool reads the ACB from the IMS directory instead of the ACB library by using IMS Tools Catalog Interface. FPA and FP Stand-alone Database Sensor also adds a new keyword IMSCATACB_INPUT to the GLOBAL command. This keyword specifies whether to retrieve the currently active ACB definition or the pending ACB definition from the IMS directory. FPA UNLOAD command, CHANGE command, and SIMULATE subcommand add a new keyword IMSCATACB_OUTPUT. This keyword specifies whether to retrieve the currently active ACB definition or the pending ACB definition from the IMS directory. This keyword specifies the new ACB definition, which is used when an ACB definition change is requested. If you use the new function, you must: - Install the IMS Tools Base for z/OS V1.6 (5655-V93). - Apply the APAR PI68811 for the IMS V14 (5635-A05). - Enable the IMS catalog and the IMS management of ACBs. - Specify the IMS Tools Base library (SGLXLOAD) in the STEPLIB DD statement of the FPA JCL. This is an example to unload an area and changing the DEDB area definition when IMS management of ACBs is enabled. //HFP EXEC PGM=HFPMAIN0 //STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=HPFP.SHFPLMD0 // DD DISP=SHR,DSN=IMSVS.SDFSRESL // DD DISP=SHR,DSN=IMSVS.PGMLIB // DD DISP=SHR,DSN=ITB.SGLXLOAD //NEWRESLB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=IMSVS.PGMLIB.NEW //IMSDALIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=IMSVS.MDALIB //OAREA001 DD DISP=OLD,DSN=HPFP.USRFILE //HFPRPTS DD SYSOUT=* //HFPPRINT DD SYSOUT=* //HFPSYSIN DD * GLOBAL DBRC=YES, IMSCATHLQ=IMSVS.CATALOG, IMSCATACB_INPUT=CURRENT UNLOAD DBD=DEDBJN22, IAREA=(DB22AR0), OAREA=(DB22AR0), IMSCATACB_OUTPUT=PENDING, ACBCHK=YES In this example: - The IMSACB DD statement is not specified. The ACB member is read from the IMS directory instead of the ACB library because IMSCATHLQ=IMSVS.CATALOG parameter is specified. - To use IMS Tools Catalog Interface, the SGLXLOAD library of IMS Tools Base is included in the STEPLIB DD concatenation. - The ACB member for the current DEDB definition is read from the IMS directory data set because IMSCATACB_INPUT=CURRENT is specified. - The ACB member for new DEDB definition is read from the staging data set because IMSCATACB_OUTPUT=PENDING is specified. - All database records are randomized by the randomizer that is loaded from the NEWRESLB DD data set.
