PI69690: DB2 ADMIN TOOL ALTER XML PBG TABLESPACE MAXPARTITIONS NOT ALLOWED

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using the line command AL from PANELID ADB21S to alter a XML
  PBG tablespace to increase the MAXPARTITIONS,  the command
  brings up PANELID ADB21SA where Max Partitions is shown as
  an available field, but it is a protected field and not able
  to type a new value there.  Therefore, unable to generate an
  Alter statement through the Admin Tool to alter a XML
  PBG tablespace MAXPARTITIONS.
  

Local fix

• The ALTER statement can be executred manually:
     ALTER TABLESPACE dbname.tsname
            MAXPARTITIONS x;
  where x=the maximum number of partitions.

  Tool does not generate the expected ALTER statement for
  Max Partitions.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved.
