  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: JSF message severities always set to    *
  *                      ERROR after a ValidatorException        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The severity of messages is always set (overwritten) to
  SEVERITY_ERROR when a ValidatorException is thrown during JSF
  validation.
  If a developer defines a custom validator, for example,
  messages
  they have added to the view will have their severities
  overwritten to SEVERITY_ERROR.  This will be an issue if some
  other severity was expected.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JSF MyFaces 2.2 code was updated to no longer overwrite
  message severities.
