APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• TCB Reference count is off by one. 2 processes are both using
  the same entry in the hash table. A DUCB is holding the
  TCB LOCK which causes the command to hang. There can also be
  abends in EZBTCSTR, EZBTCUTL, EZBTLFWR or EZBITKOB.

  A timing situation can occur when two connects are issued at
  the same time on the same socket. This timing situation can
  cause an invalid hash entry to be left in the TCP hash table.
  When the hash table is processed, this invalid entry can
  cause hangs and abends.

Problem conclusion

• Code is changed to recognize and properly handle the timing
  situation. The invalid hash entry will not be placed in the
