APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Return code 16 Disk write error in x12initialcontrolsummary.mmc
when StreamMaxMemLimit is set to a low value.

Local fix

Circumvention: Increase value or comment out StreamMaxMemLimit
in dtx.ini file

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
IBM Transformation Extender customers who use StreamMaxMemLimit
dtx.ini setting and get 'Disk Write Error' error.

Problem Description:
If HandleIn function is used and the buffer size is over
StreamMaxMemLimit, the core engine fails with Disk write error.

Platforms Affected:
All

Problem conclusion

  • Correct code in common dtxpi interface to proper handle tmp file
 size when the core engine updates the buffer. It used to work
correctly if writes are at the end of buffer (append).

Applies to:
8.3.0.6, 8.4.0.5, 8.4.1.4, 9.0.0.1

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
