    After issuing the stop command against a server, the server
    does not stop. The following trace can be seen in the
    controller region SYSPRINT. Notice the ORBR_Row section of
    the trace, and the value 000000F9 in the first word of the
    traced data:
    Trace: xxxx/xx/xx xx:xx:xx.xxx 02 t=xxxxxx c=UNK key=S2
    tag=(0403402E)
    Description: traceORBR_Registry
    ...
    ORBR_Row::ORBR StateFlag Area:  data_address=xxxxxxxx
    +-------------------------------------------------------+
    |OSet| Address = xxxxxxxx  Length = 0008 |     EBCDIC   |
    +----+-----------------------------------+--------------+
    |0000|000000F9 xxxxxxxx                  |...9..z.      |
    +-------------------------------------------------------+
    This trace represents an HTTP response that the server tried
    to send to a client. The server received an IOException
    while sending the response. The server did not clean up the
    request data structures and will not allow the server stop to
    complete.

Problem conclusion

  • Code was added to clean up the HTTP request data structures
    when an IOException is received while sending an HTTP response.

    APAR PI67980 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Pack
    9.0.0.2 of WebSphere Application Server.
