Error description

• Provide support for new function introduced by DS8000
  release 8.1 and 8.2 microcode (LMC).
  The update is required for GDPS/PPRC, GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap
  Manager, and GDPS/MTMM installations that use PPRCFAILURE=COND
  (in PPRC or MTMM) or CONDLAST (in MTMM), to ensure proper GDPS
  response to Freeze events. Installations that use other
  PPRCFAILURE values do not need the update.

   OA51296 is required for GDPS/PPRC, GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap
   Manager, and GDPS/MTMM installations that use PPRCFAILURE=COND
   (in PPRC or MTMM) or CONDLAST (in MTMM), to ensure proper GDPS
   response to Freeze events.  Installations that use other
   PPRCFAILURE values do not need to install the APAR.
  NEW MESSAGE
   The following update will be reflected in a future revision of
   the GDPS Messages and Codes (ZG24-1756) manual:
   GEO102E SECONDARY ERROR,SERNO=serno,LSS=lss,RSN=<reason_text>
   Explanation: A freeze trigger has been detected by GDPS. The
    environment has a PPRCFAILURE=COND policy active. GDPS has
    queried the secondary disk subsystems and detected the
    reported error condition.
        <reason text> can be one of the following:
         SECONDARY DEVICES ARE SUSPENDED
         KILL STRIP CONDITION EXISTS
         RANK ERRORS EXIST
         RANK QUERY ERROR
         RANK STATE IS OFFLINE
         RANK STATE IS INACCESSIBLE
         DEVICES ARE FENCED
         PINNED DATA EXISTS FOR DEVICES
         DEVICES ARE IN EXTENDED LONG BUSY
         DEVICES ARE WRITE INHIBITED
         DEVICE EXISTS ON AN ARRAY THAT IS REBUILDING
    GDPS evaluates the error condition to determine whether the
    PPRCFAILURE policy should result in either a STOP or GO action
    following the completion of the freeze. A GEO514I message will
    be issued when GDPS error evaluation results in a GO action.
   Action: Contact your storage subsystem hardware support to
    identify and resolve any hardware related errors prior to
    restarting disk replication.
