This APAR provides a new enhancement to recover table
space access status when running a Work Statement List
(WSL). A new option to recover the table space status is
introduced for the Batch Restart Program ADBTEP2
    using the batch parameter option:

On panel ADB2UPA 'Batch Job Utility Parameters',
there is a new option called 'Preserve tablespace
access state. If the option is set to YES, the table
space access status will be recovered.
    The default is NO.

       Preserve tablespace
       access state . . . . . YES (Yes/No)

The same function can be enabled from CM Batch.
    A parameter, adbtep2_tsaccess, specifies whether
to preserve the access state of the table spaces
being accessed. If you set the adbtep2_tsaccess
parameter value to YES, run change (ADBTEP2)
tracks the statements and processes that can
place a tablespace in a different access state and
preserves the state the tablespace is in.

    Values:
YES The access state of the table space is
         preserved
NO The access state of the table space is not
         preserved.
    default:
    NO

Problem conclusion

  • The new enhancement is delivered.
