Error description

  • Japanese text stored in Oracle CLOB garbled when using
NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8 or JAPANESE_JAPAN.UTF8 whilst
Database Character set = AL32UTF8.
It seems that garble does not occur with
NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.JA16SJISTILDE or
JAPANESE_JAPAN.JA16SJISTILDE in Windows environment.
