Error description

  • Two issues addressed here:
    1. ABENDS0C4 in IPI4QMGR+15C caused by storage overwrite in
IRUR report. The IRUR report of Individual TCB statistics
overwrites IMS PA common storage when more than 100 records are
encountered, resulting in subsequent abends when referencing the
    common storage area.
Note: An additional symptom of this is a tight loop in IPISIRUR.
The looping area within the routine is near x'7bd8'.
    2. Message IPI0054 is changed from type (E)rror to (W)arn and
    processing is corrected.

Problem conclusion

  • 1. IRUR Individual TCB statistics report now handles up to
150 x'4518' records in the current checkpoint. If more than
150 records per checkpoint are encountered message IPI0099W
is issued and subsequent records are ignored.

    2. Message IPI0054W is issued if a missing or invalid timestamp
field is encountered in a record. Previously, when the message
was type (E)rror, the record was ignored but processing did
not flow correctly through to End-of-File. The message type
is now (W)arn and processing continues as expected.
