APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In the past releases client saw an error in the lower version
after migrating maps / type trees to higher versions Client
could be sure to not accidentally downgrade a map/typetree once
it was migrated and checked-in.  The client would like to
receive the error message to ensure the integrity of their
files.

Problem summary

IBM Transformation Extender Design Studio users

Problem Description:
Design Studio allows user to open a type tree or map source from
a higher version release in the same instead of displaying an
error message about its failure to open such higher version
artifacts to the user.

Platforms Affected:
Windows

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed a problem with Design Studio where it does not allow user
to open higher version type trees/map sources in the lower
version and displays an error message to the user about open
failure.

Applies to:
8.3.0.6, 8.4.0.5, 8.4.1.4, 9.0.0.0

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
