Error description
This APAR addresses two related issues: From ADB21 'System catalog', use 'D - Databases' to list two databases, then 'S - Table spaces' on a database and then DROP. After global dropping tablespaces in one database, returns back to Database panel, doing 'S' line command on another database shows 'Confirm Drop - Table Spaces' panel, entering 1 to continue drop, that database's tablespaces are shown and not actually dropped. From ADB21 'System catalog', use 'S - Table spaces'. Enter 'ALL T' then 'ALL S' then 'DROP'. Returns to ADB21T 'Tables, Views, and Aliases', 'No rows returned' and tables that do not exsist listed. Swap screen to recreate dropped tablespaces (i.e. SPUFI). Swap screen again back to Admin and F3 returns back to 'Confirm Drop - Table Spaces'. Must F3 to get out.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS * * who use the DROP primary command on panel * * 'ADB21S - Table Spaces'. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After using 'DROP' primary command * * on panel 'ADB21S - Table Spaces', in * * three situations, DB2 Admin Tool * * returns to the wrong panel. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The following are fixed: Problem 1 says: From panel 'ADB21 - System catalog', use 'D - Databases' to list two or more databases, then use 'S - Table spaces' line command on a database and then issue DROP command. After dropping table spaces in this database and returning back to database panel, doing 'S' line command on another database incorrectly shows 'ADB21S - Confirm Drop - Table Spaces' panel. Problem 2 says: From panel 'ADB21 - System catalog', after using 'S - Table spaces', 'ALL T', 'ALL S' and then 'DROP' commands one by one to drop listed table spaces, the panel 'ADB21T - Tables, Views, and Aliases' is displayed with 'No rows returned'. From ADB21T, swapping screen to recreate dropped table spaces and swapping screen again back to ADB21T to re-issue 'ALL S' command, the panel 'ADB21S - Confirm Drop - Table Spaces' is incorrectly displayed. Problem 3 says: After using the DROP command on panel 'ADB21S - Table Spaces' and then choosing option '1 - Continue toop all the listed table spaces', pressing PF3 to cancel the DROP, the following process should be back to panel ADB21S instead of the panel from which ADB21S originated.
