Error description

Job hangs - the external scheduler is not aware
of that the job has ended, even though the external scheduler
has made this logging
CWLRB3860W:<date stamp> Job [BatchCITest01:001109]
ended abnormally [and is restartable].

When the WebSphere application that a WebSphere Java Batch job
is using is restarted, the job is not ended cleanly.  This
causes the Job Scheduler to incorrectly report the state of
the job.

Problem conclusion

A code update has been made to cleanly update the job status
for a running batch job whose application is restarted.  Now,
the job will be allowed to complete and the status will be
correctly represented by the Job Scheduler.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.3. Please refer to the
