Error description

  • As per ISO 4217 Amendment number 161, SWIFT will be adding
support for the new Belarusian currency code BYN.
The BYN currency is to be available from 01 July 2016. The
former BYR currency will be removed on 01 January 2017.

Currency name: Belarusian Ruble
Numeric code: 933
Fractional digit: 2
This new currency code is effective from 01 July 2016.
The currency table on the SWIFT network will be updated
with BYN on 01 July 2016.
The former currency code (BYR) will remain on the SWIFT network
until 01 January 2017.
