PI65224: ERROR IN CSMCLI.SH AFTER UPGRADE TO IBM SPECTRUM CONTROL FOR REPLICATION 5.2.8

APAR status

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• This error occurs with IBM Spectrum Control for Replication
  when trying to run csmcli.sh under zOS
  
  xxx:>sh csmcli.sh
  Error: Could not find or load main class .rz.tpcr2.CLI.lib.
  
  The problem is a " " / space in the script csmcli.sh:
  "$CSMJDK/bin/java" -Xmx512m -classpath ${CSM_PATH}
  -Djava.library.path= ${LIBDIR} com.ibm.storage.mdm.cli.rm.RmCli
  "$@"
  
  The space between "=" and "$" in "path= ${LIBDIR}"
  prevents the script to start.
  

Local fix

• remove the space from the script
  

Problem summary

• Extra space in csmcli.sh script prevents it from running on
  z/OS.  See ERROR DESCRIPTION.
  

Problem conclusion

• Work around this issue by modifying the script to remove the
  extra space as noted in the ERROR DESCRIPTION.  No update for
  TPC-R for z/OS 5.2.x will be provided.
  
  This problem does not exist with Copy Services Manager.
