Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *

    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Elements might be missing from an *
    * original tree if a setX operation is *
    *                      performed on a copied DataObject        *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Performing modification operations like setString on a
    DataObject
    instance that is a copy of another node was causing the original
    node to be modified. This was because the copied node was not
    being materialized and it was still relying on the original
    node.

Problem conclusion

  • The algorithm that materializes elements was corrected to
    prevent returning wrong elements.
