When using the cdi-1.2 feature (or a feature such as webProfile-
7.0, etc.) and restarting a web application, the classloader for
the web module may be leaked.  This would cause the classloader
and any classes that it loaded to remain in the heap for each
restart of the application.  Eventually, enough restarts of the
application would lead to a heap exhaustion issue and
OutOfMemoryErrors.  Prior to this APAR, restarting the server is
the only way to resolve the problem.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR resolves the classloader leak in the CDI
RuntimeFactory code.  It no longer retains a reference to the
application web module's classloader when the application is
stopped.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 16.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
