Error description

  • WSL Authorization switching is enabled with an invalid
ID when blank is specified as the authorization switch
ID and the following error is observed:

Local fix

  • Disable WSL-auth switch on panel ADB2PCO.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************

*                 Tool for z/OS who use the WSL                *
*                 authorization ID switching function.         *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Batch Restart Program ADBTEP2           *
*                      falsely executes authorization ID       *
*                      switching with an invalid ID.           *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When running an analyzed change with WSL Authorization
Switching enabled, and with a blank authorization switch
ID, Batch Restart Program ADBTEP2 falsely
executes authorization ID switching with an invalid ID.

Problem conclusion

  • Panel ADB2CEX1 'CM - Run a Change' will no longer
generate WSL Authorization ID switching JCL when a
blank ID is specified.  Instead, in this case, SQLID
Authorization ID switching will be disabled when WSL
Authorization ID switching is enabled.
