  • Utility CSQUTIL LOAD or SLOAD ends with 0C4 if messages are
loaded into a queue with queue name length of 47 characters.

*                      result in 0C4 abends when further       *
*                      messages are processed.                 *

When a long message is generated by CSQUTIL, such as a CSQU135I
message when long object names are used, a storage overlay may
occur in the buffer used to hold the generated message before it
is output. This then can result in an 0C4 when later messages
are processed due to the storage overlay.

Problem conclusion

  • Message processing for CSQUTIL has been corrected, to correctly
handle long messages, preventing the overlay which causes the
0C4 abend.
