APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running a messaging application on Liberty to connect
    to
the messaging engine on WebSphere Application Server you
need to specify the endpoint information in the
remoteServerAddress field in the activation specification
property. Currently you can only configure it to point to
    the server
where the messaging engine is locally running instead of
pointing to a Bootstrap server, or a multiple endpoints
    separated
    by comma.

Local fix

  • Configure the ME on tWAS to have an HA policy with Failback
option and perferred servers only to true so the ME is running
on one server only most of the time, and set this server
    endpoint in the remoteServerAddress field.

    ****************************************************************
Unable to specify comma-separated multiple endpoints in
    activation remoteServerAddress configuration.
It is desirable to support the ability to do this.

Problem conclusion

  • Enabled support for specifying comma-separated multiple
endpoints in activation remoteServerAddress configuration, by
    removing code to throw a
    com.ibm.websphere.sib.exception.SIErrorException with error code
    CWSIT0133E in this situation.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 16.0.0.4. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
