Error description

  • If a application system uses Oracle DB v11 as backend database
    server and utilized Oracle native SQL statements will be used
    the following kind of exceptions may occur:
    
    SQLFeatureNotSupportedException: DSRA9130E: Operation is not
    permitted by the application server: getReturnResultSet
    
    Such a exception may occur, when the following kind of
    Code-Snippet will be used:
    
    PreparedStatement ps =
    session.getBatcher().prepareQueryStatement(sql,
    false, ScrollMode.FORWARD_ONLY);
    
    ResultSet rs = (ps.unwrap(OraclePreparedStatement.class)).
    getReturnResultSet();

Problem conclusion

  • The code was changed so that WebSphere Application Server
    implements getReturnResultSet().
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.5.5.11 and 9.0.0.2.  Please refer to the
