    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR fixes the following two problems of Create Image Copy
    function:
    - IMS HP Image Copy terminates with ABEND S0C1 ( ABEND0C1 )
at FABJCRC0 + X'26F4' when the registered image record of
processed DBDS or DEDB area in DBRC RECON is the non-standard
      image copy (UIC or UCIC).

In the create image copy process, although VOLSER information
does not exist in DBRC RECON in case of the non-standard
image copy (UIC or UCIC), IMS HP Image Copy attempts to refer
to its information and uses an incorrect address and length.
As a result, IMS HP Image Copy overwrites own instruction and
      terminates with ABEND S0C1 ( ABEND0C1 ).

    - IMS HP Image Copy terminates with RC=08 and message FABJ0142E
      ( MSGFABJ0142E ) when the TIMESTMP=timestamp keyword is
specified in GLOBAL statement with GROUP processing.

In GROUP processing, IMS HP Image Copy treats time stamp of
the image record by incorrect format.
As a result, IMS HP Image Copy can not compare time stamp of
image record which is registered in DBRC RECON and can not
      found the valid image record.

Problem conclusion

  • By this APAR, IMS HP Image Copy modifies as follows:
    - IMS HP Image Copy bypasses the create image copy process and
      issues a new FABJ0219I message ( MSGFABJ0219I ) when the
non-standard image copy of image record registered in DBRC
      RECON is selected.
    - IMS HP Image Copy treats the format of time stamp correctly
      in GROUP processing.

IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 2
    User's Guide SC19-2756-01 ( SC19275601 ) should be changed as
    follows:

    Part 6. Troubleshooting
Chapter 20. Messages and codes Messages
      FABJ0219I PROCESS FOR DBD=dbdname DDN=ddname
      DBD=masterdbdname PART=partname DDN=ddname
      DBD=dbdname AREA=areaname  IS BYPASSED BECAUSE A FOUND
      ENTRY IN RECON IS UIC
Explanation: The create image copy process is bypassed for
processing DBDS or area because the found image record
registered in DBRC is non-standard image copy (UIC or UCIC).
System action: IMS HP Image Copy continues processing.
      User response: None.
