Error description

If an AsyncListener in an application throws an exception
during its onComplete() method the the response fails to
close and the AsyncContext is not completed. This might
cause threads to hang waiting for the response.

If a AsyncListener in an application throws an uncaught
exception during its onComplete() method, the response fails to
close and the AsyncContext is not completed. This might cause
WebContainer threads to hang waiting for the response.

Problem conclusion

The WebContainer code was modified to close the response and
finish the AsyncContext when an AsyncListener throws an
exception during the onComplete() method.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
WebSphere Application Server fix packs 8.5.5.11, 9.0.0.2 and
Liberty 16.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
