PI61332: ANDROID API LEVEL 23 IS NOT SUPPORTED BY MOBILEFIRST PLATFORM FOUNDATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• MobileFirst Platform Foundation does not support Android API
  Level 23.  This prevents the use of the new Android 6
  permisisons model with MobileFirst Platform applications.
  

Local fix

• As a workaround, target the MobileFirst Platform application to
  a previous Android API level, and continue to use the old
  permissions model rather than the new permissions model.

  * version of Cordova used in Mobilefirst Platform Foundation   *

  * this support, users would not be able to target Android SDK  *
  * 23. Adding this support enables users to use the new         *
  * permission functions and request permissions at runtime,     *
  * thus being able to use API 23 and target SDK 23.             *

Problem conclusion

• After installing the iFix, rebuild your application and set the
  targetSDKVersion in AndroidManifest.xml to 23 and target to
  android-23 in project.properties.
