  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool         *
  *                 for z/OS who use verification masks.         *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Currently, users can perform overwrite  *
  *                      and verification masking on the         *
  *                      COMPRESS attribute for tablespaces      *
  *                      alone using COMPRESS masking.           *
  *                      However, there is no ability to         *
  *                      perform overwrite and verification      *
  *                      masking on the COMPRESS attribute       *
  *                      for indexes.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The new TSCOMPRES,IXCOMPRES overwrites/verification masks
  have been added and the mask names are as follows:
  
  COMPRESS        YES,NO, REXX exit (table spaces and indexes)
    TSCOMPRES     YES,NO,REXX exit (table spaces only)
    IXCOMPRES     YES,NO,REXX exit (indexes only)
  
  Examples for Verification masks -:
  
  VER,TSCOMPRES:EQ, NO, RC=8
  VER,IXCOMPRES:EQ,YES,RC=8
  VER,TSCOMPRES:REXX(TSCEXEC,DBNAME,NAME,COMPRESS)
  VER,IXCOMPRES:REXX(IXCEXEC,CREATOR,NAME,COMPRESS)
  
  Examples for Overwrite masks -:
  
  TSCOMPRES: DB1.TS1,NO
  IXCOMPRES: SC1.IX1,YES
  
  With this Apar:
  
  1- Users can perform overwrite and verification
     masking on the COMPRESS attribute for both
     tablespaces and indexes using the existing
     overwrite attribute COMPRESS.
  
  2- Users can perform overwrite and verification
     masking on the COMPRESS attribute for
     tablespaces alone using the new overwrite
     attribute TSCOMPRES.
  
  3- Users can perform overwrite and verification
     masking on the COMPRESS attribute for indexes
     alone using the new overwrite attribute
     IXCOMPRES.

  The use of masking was specified, and the value that is
  specified for COMPRESS, TSCOMPRES or IXCOMPRES is
  not correct.
  
  User action:
  Correct the attribute value and try again.
  After the corrections are made, resubmit the job.
  
  System action:
  Processing stops
  
  2 - ADB3346E error message updated with partition
  no:
  
  ADB3346E: RC = return_code For object_type object_name
  partition no: Error processing mask_name value is attr_value
  verification failed for operation verify_oper.
  
  Explanation:
  Attribute value does not conform to verification mask.
  
  User action:
  Correct the attribute value and try again.
  After the corrections are made, resubmit the job.
  
  System action:
  Processing is discontinued with return code 8 or 12.
  
  3 - ADB3347W warning message updated with partition
  no:
  
  ADB3347W: RC = return_code For object_type object_name
  partition no: Error processing mask_name value is attr_value
  verification failed for operation verify_oper.
  
  Explanation:
  Attribute value does not conform to verification mask.
  
  User action:
  Correct the attribute value and try again.
  After the corrections are made, resubmit the job.
