Error description

  • ABENDS0C4 for EXPORT DATA TO CSV

Local fix

  • Preallocating the dataset with a large enough LRECL prevents the
ABEND.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V11.2 users.            *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users can receive an ABEND0C4 when      *
*                      exporting data to DATAFORMAT CSV. This  *
*                      can happen only when exporting to a     *
*                      new data set which QMF must allocate.   *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
If the data contains delimiters, QMF was calculating the LRECL
for the data set incorrectly.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been amended to properly calculate the LRECL for new
dataformat CSV export data sets when the data contains
delimiters.
