PI60445: URBANCODE DEPLOY 6.2.1.0 RETURNS BLANK PAGE WHEN COMPARING RESOURCES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Resource comparison can sometimes fail in the UI due to a
  missing url value.
  

Local fix

• There is a workaround, but it is rather roundabout and takes
  awhile to actually do for one comparison. However, it is an
  option if you really need to do a comparison.
  
  1. Enable UI Debugging in System Settings
  2. Open the Resources tab in Chrome
  3. Open the Chrome Debugger (Can be done with F12)
  4. Open TreeTable.js with ctrl+p
  5. Place a breakpoint on the 'if (self.xhrMethod.toUpperCase()
  === "GET") {' line, which would approximately be line 473, but
  may vary.
  6. Try to compare the resources. The page's URL should show
  "<Server address>/#resourceComparison/<Resource ID1>/<Resource
  ID2>"
  7. Highlight and copy the "<Resource ID1>/<Resource ID2>"
  portion of the URL
  8. Mouse over where it says xhrOpts in the next line until a
  popup box appears.
  9. Double-click on the 'undefined' that is next to 'url:' so
  that it lets you edit the value.
  10. Enter the value "/rest/resource/resource/compare/<Resource
  ID1>/<Resource ID2>" and hit enter. The values in <>s should be
  the values you copied earlier. Make sure you put this whole
  string in "" 's.
  11. Remove the breakpoint you placed in step 5
  12. Click the blue play button to resume the comparison. It
  should load correctly now
