PI60348: DOWNLOAD ARTIFACTS FAILS WHEN ARTIFACT SET IS VERY LARGE AND USING AGENT RELAY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When an artifact set is large (many GB or more) and a deployment
  with a Download Artifacts step is run on an agent behind an
  agent relay to download a version with that artifact set, the
  step might fail.
  
  Specifically, this can happen when the "exclude" option is used
  to exclude large amounts of data from the artifact set.
  
  The reason for this is that the input/output stream is reading
  the entire artifact set to find which files to exclude, and no
  data is being sent during that long read, causing a timeout
  exception.
  

Local fix

• There are several workarounds:
  1. In UCD 6.2.3.0 or greater, disable caching in the agent
  relay.
  2. In download artifact step, set sync mode to "none" and clear
  any include or exclude filters.
  3. Use VFS plugin version 24 or greater and set the property
  "codestation.useProxy=true" in the agent installed.properties
  file and restart it.
  4. Connect agents directly to a UCD server.
