Error description

  • When the RKSIZE value of the DBD LCHILD statement for a PSINDEX
    is not equal to the length of a HALDB root key, HDPC with
    IXKEYCHK=YES wrongly issues FABP2021E.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the RKSIZE value for a PSINDEX is  *
    *                      not the same as the root key length of  *
    *                      the target HALDB, HD Pointer Checker    *
    *                      incorrectly issues MSGFABP2021E,        *
    *                      MSGFABP2023E, MSGFABP2024E, or          *
    *                      MSGFABP2033E in stand-alone jobs.       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
    ****************************************************************
    MSGFABP2021E, MSGFABP2023E, MSGFABP2024E, or MSGFABP2033E are
    wrongly issued under the following conditions:
    - HD Pointer Checker is run for HALDBs and PSINDEXes in
      stand-alone jobs.
    - The RKSIZE value of the DBD LCHILD statement for the
      PSINDEX is not the same as the root key length of the target
      HALDB.
    - The HASH=NO and IXKEYCHK=YES keywords or the HASH=NO,
      IXKEYCHK=YES, and IXKEYCKCHK=YES keywords are specified in the
      PROCCTL statement.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The FABPPSIX module has been modified to fix the error.
