PI59927: HGCC/HGUC USERS WHO USE WILDCARDS IN THE TRANSID FIELDS MAY SEE UNALTERED TIMES IN HGCV

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using wildcards in the HGCC/HGUC TRANSID fields may results in
  unaltered times in CICS.
  
  Following are the recreate steps:
  
  STEP 1. Enter transaction HGUC and change the date to 2014-02-03
  and enter trans HG* (be sure to use the *)  at the bottom in 01:
  Press enter so it accepts the entry
  
  STEP 2.  Enter trans HGCV  and you will notice only askdate was
  changed and all of the other dates remain current.
  
  STEP 3. Go back into HGUC and enter the full trans of HGCV
  in 01: without using a * as a prefix character.
  
  Step 4.  Enter trans HGCV and you will see all of the dates
  changed to 2014-02-03 as they should.
  

Local fix

• Users may get around this issue by explicitly specifying the
  TRANSID without any wildcards.
